Performed API 653 tank cleaning and internal and similar service inspections at YRC Worldwide affiliated facilities that have aboveground storage tanks that require this type of inspection in the Eastern and Southeastern regions of the United States. Genesis removed and recycled any remaining fuel left in the tanks prior to cleaning and inspection services.
Inspections were carried out according to the requirements of Standard API-653, latest edition, Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration and Reconstruction, including: API-653 C-1 & C-2 Checklists and all amendments, as supplemented by this statement of work. The inspections were performed in a safe and professional manner by a certified API 653 Inspector and the inspection, field report, and tank evaluation were completed in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations. The API 653 inspection was limited to the secondary tank containment, tank structure, roof, lining and attached appurtenances (nozzles to the face of the first flange, high level alarms, and water draw–off).
The evaluations determine the tanks suitability for continued service or if repairs could be made to lengthen the service life of the AST. Genesis provided YRC an API 653 inspection report upon completion.
